Email Subscription Confirmation

Thank you for confirming your email subscription.  You might be thinking, “I have never explicitly given SEAC permission to email me in the past.  Why are they asking now?”  As our society improves and evolves, we are always challenging our former practices.  SEAC and our mailing list was started during the early years of e-mail, when things like the CAN-SPAM Act and GDPR didn’t exist.  The world is a different place now and requirements are different.  Thank you for being patient while we also evolve our practices.

Now that you have confirmed your subscription to our email list, make sure you have done the following things:

  1. Be sure to change your password.  You should have received an email with your website username.  This username (and website account) is directly tied to your membership account.
  2. Update your profile.  Add a photo, a background, update the about you section, join groups/committees, engage with others…these are all features of our new profile system.
