
The ISE Executive Committee and Organizing Committee of the ISE Regional Meeting cordially invite you to come to Prague in from August 15th to 19th, 2022 for the Regional Meeting.
The Regional Meeting is intended to provide a forum for meeting in presence for those who want and can travel despite the ongoing pandemic situation that forced ISE to move another Annual Meeting to an online format. The Regional Meeting will complement the regular Annual Meeting (online) and Topical Meetings. The meeting is open to electrochemists of all career stages and in all fields of electrochemical science and technology. It will feature a simple structure of seven parallel symposia featuring no plenary lectures providing the basic opportunity to present and network.
Prague has been a cultural centre landmark of Central Europe for more than thousand years. Its historical centre has been featured on the UNESCO cultural heritage list since 1992. Prague has played the role of a political and economic hub of the region for many centuries. Today’s Prague is a vibrant city merging architectural monuments of all styles with modern infrastructure. Prague was a melting pot alloying various cultural influences of and represents a bridge between West and East of Europe. Many tourists visit the city to immerse themselves in its special atmosphere.
Prague is a city devoted to electrochemistry and witnessed the birth of polarography. Its inventor Jaroslav Heyrovsky, the first Nobel prize winner for electrochemical research, was professionally active in Prague for almost half a century, and the electrochemical research in Prague still runs strong today. Prague was a proud host of major electrochemical meetings and the local community is thrilled to welcome the electrochemical community once more in 2022.
